Mark Herras and Jojo Mendrez’s video surfaced online
Kapuso actor Mark Herras was spotted with businessman/singer Jojo Mendrez at Okada Hotel and the latter explained what happened.
Mark has been one of the most talked about actors these past few days and it was because of his viral dancing video at a male entertainment bar. He has been in the industry since his teenage years.
The actor became famous after winning as the first StarStruck Male Ultimate Survivor. However, in recent years, Mark has not done major acting projects.
Just recently, his video having a dance performance at a male entertainment bar received negative reactions. However, there were those who defended him. Talking about his viral video in an interview, Mark Herras stressed that there was nothing wrong with what he did because he was working to provide for his family.
Previously, a source revealed that the actor’s talent fee for that dance performance was P300,000.
Just recently, Mark’s video went viral once again but this time, it was not a dance performance at a bar. Social media personality Xian Gaza shared a video from his source, It showed that the actor was with Jojo Mendrez at Okada.
Based on the article in PEP, the businessman-singer explained what happened at that time.
Jojo said that he and Mark knew each other but they were not close. They met in Starbucks in the said hotel and they were with Jojo’s manager David Cabawatan of Aqueous Entertainment.
“Siyempre, pinag-uusapan yung gay-gay issue na yan. Kaya ang ginawa namin, dun kami sa may gilid na madilim sa Starbucks,” Jojo shared.
They talked about getting Mark as a dance talent in a video for his single Somewhere In My Past. Jojo also shared that his manager David had a room at Okada so, they decided to go there.
“Pinalabas na nag-check-in kami ni Mark Herras. Nang dumaan kami sa lobby, siyempre na-recogize siya [Mark] na nakitang magkasama kami. Nagpunta kami dun sa kuwarto. Kumbaga, walang malisya yun,” he said.
After the shoot, when Jojo’s manager was about to leave, he did not allow it will just be him and Mark in the room. Jojo told David that he does not want to be involved in an issue just like what happened to Kapuso actor Sandro Muhlach.
That was the time when they decided to go to the casino and play. Later on, Jojo Mendrez went home while Mark Herras stayed there. The businessman-singer shared that while they were playing in the casino, there were a lot of people who posed for a photo with Mark.
“Nanalo pa si Mark ng 60 thousand, pero wala na ako dun nung nanalo siya. Nauna na akong umalis,” Jojo shared.
