PAGASA Says Amihan and Easterlies to Affect PH Weather Condition

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that amihan and easterlies will bring cloudy skies and rains over parts of the country.

On Wednesday (February 5, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Two weather systems will affect the country’s weather condition.

Amihan will bring cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte.

“Nakakapekto na sa malaking bahagi po ng Luzon so medyo malakas na po ito muli sa ngayon, at aasahan din ang mga mahina hanggang katamtamang mga pag-ulan,” Estareja said.

The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Caraga, Davao Region, and SOCCSKSARGEN.

Sa parteng Visayas and Mindanao naman, nandyan pa rin ‘yung epekto ng mainit na easterlies o ‘yung hangin po galing sa silangan na siyang nagdadala rin ng mga pag-ulan,” he explained.

The northeast monsoon will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Bagamat mababa ang tsansa na ito ay maging isang bagyo, mino-monitor natin dito sa ngayon for possible formation as a low-pressure area naman po,” he added.

The weather bureau warns the public for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the weather agency has issued a gale warning for the northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon and the eastern seaboards of Central Luzon. No low pressure areas are being monitored for tropical cyclone formation, according to PAGASA.
