Batang Quiapo enters a new season
Kapamilya series Batang Quiapo is set to feature the new cast members which was introduced at a recent event.
The series is led by Kapamilya primetime action star Coco Martin who is also a producer and director. His past and current series have been reigning in the primetime slot.
His previous series Ang Probinsyano currently holds the “longest-running series” title in the Philippines. The current Kapamilya series is entering its new season which will feature new cast members.
Based on the article in ABS-CBN Entertainment, Coco Martin received a grand Kapamilya welcome on January 28. He was warmly welcomed by the Kapamilya bosses and employees when he visited ABS-CBNÂ on Tuesday.
During this event, new cast members were introduced and they are Andrea Brillantes, Jake Cuenca, Angel Aquino, Juan Rodrigo, Paolo Paraiso, Gillian Vicencio, Shamaine Buencamino, and veteran stars Michael de Mesa, Albert Martinez, Dante Rivero, Chanda Romero, and Celia Rodriguez.
In an interview, Coco expressed gratitude to all the Kapamilya. “Sobra po. Thank you so much sa pagmamahal at sa suporta,” the actor shared.
Amid the difficult time for ABS-CBN, Coco’s show gave hope to the network and his fellow Kapamilya stars. In line with this, he said that this is because everyone is helping each other to survive in the industry and to provide inspiration to the audience.
Kapamilya executive Mark Lopez said that staying on air for two years is not easy and showing passion and dedication in every episode for five days a week.
ABS-CBN CEO and President Carlo Katigbak said, “Wala pa tayong istasyon, wala pa tayong prangkisa, pero nangingibabaw pa rin ang pag-asa natin. … Sana alalahanin natin kung bakit natin ginagawa ito, hindi para sumikat kung hindi magbigay saya at inspirasyon at pag-asa sa ating pamilya.”
Katigbak thanked the Batang Quiapo lead star and his companions for what they are doing for Filipino viewers.
