Sarsi Emmanuelle had a conversation with Pepsi Paloma a day before her death
Former actress Sarsi Emmanuelle revealed the insecurities that Pepsi Paloma felt during their last conversation.
Sarsi and Pepsi were part of the 80s Softdrink Beauties that was formed by their late manager Rey dela Cruz. They were known for doing sultry movies at that time. The other two Softdrink Beauties were Coca Nicolas and Myra Manibog.
In a recent interview on Julius Babao UNPLUGGED, Sarsi, Coca, and Myra talked about how their group was formed and their experiences working with Pepsi Paloma.
They shared that it was Pepsi who was first managed by their talent manager. She was the first Softdrink Beauty. Later on, Sarsi and Coca joined, and Myra as well.
The three former actresses revealed that Pepsi’s relationship with her mother was not that good. They said that the late actress did not like to go home to their house in Olangapo.
In the same interview, they revealed that Pepsi was a loner and had su!cidal tendencies. They also claimed that the late actress was depressed and went through a hard time in her career and personal life.
Sarsi, Coca, and Myra shared that Pepsi was pissed off when the billing for their movies changed. In their first projects, Pepsi’s name was always the first and on the top of movie posters but eventually, this changed.
Sarsi, Coca, and Myra started to have their solo projects while Pepsi’s career deteriorated. With this, her financial status also changed. At that time, she had an adopted child that she was supporting.
When Pepsi was hospitalized, Rey told Sarsi to take care of her fellow Softdrink Beauty. Sarsi brought the late actress to her home as she had two spare rooms. That was a day before Pepsi’s death.
“Dalawang kwartong bakante sa bahay ko, dito ka na muna. Ayaw niya, ma-pride,” Sarsi shared. Then, she shared that Pepsi questioned how she was able to have that kind of house and have some properties.
Sarsi said to Pepsi that it was because of the projects she did over the years. “Hindi niya ako ma-take. ‘Paano mo ako unahan magkapelikula. Paano mo ko naunahan magkabahay?'” Sarsi Emmanuelle shared what Pepsi Paloma said to her, adding that the latter’s thinking had changed.
Myra said that it was because Pepsi was the senior amog the Softdrink Beauties. “Ang lakas na ng insecurity niya kay Sarsi noon,” Myra added.
