President Bongbong Marcos is now stable after hospitalization.

In an update, President Bongbong Marcos assured the public that he is now okay after he was hospitalized when he experienced “discomfort.”

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. was taken to St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City after he experienced “discomfort.” Initially, the Palace did not disclose his diagnosis, and the following day, January 22, Thursday, the president addressed the public and assured that he is now in good and stable condition.

In a video statement, after Marcos spent a night under medical observation, he revealed that he has diverticulitis, which is a common condition among older people and those who are experiencing stress. He said, “I’m fine. I’m feeling very different from the way I was feeling before. Naayos na ‘yung problema. What happened was, apparently, I now have diverticulitis.”

He is also overworked, and his doctors advised him to rest, to which the President responded, “No. Well, yeah. Of course, lagi namang sinasabi ng doktor sa’kin ‘yun eh pero paano mo naman gagawin ‘yun. Ang daming trabaho.”

Meanwhile, as for the rumors that he had died, he reacted to it, saying it was “highly exaggerated.” He said to those who are eager to oust him, “Wag kayo munang masyadong excited dahil it’s not a life-threatening condition.”

Meanwhile, the president is facing impeachment complaints, and the arguments cited from the submitted files included:

  1. Respondent ordered and enabled the kidnapping and surrender of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to the International Criminal Court (ICC).
  2. Respondent is unfit to serve as President due to drug addiction.
  3. Respondent committed betrayal of public trust when he failed to veto unprogrammed appropriations (UA) and other unconstitutional provisions in the General Appropriations Bill (GAB).
  4. Respondent engaged in graft and corruption through kickbacks and ghost projects.
  5. Respondent created the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) to shield corrupt allies.
  6. Respondent violated the Constitution and betrayed public trust by surrendering former President Duterte to the ICC.
