Annabelle Rama was asked about the recent “intriga” about her and Barbie Imperial
Veteran showbiz personality Annabelle Rama reacted to people pitting her against actress Barbie Imperial.
Barbie is the current partner of actor Richard Gutierrez, Annabelle’s son. The Gutierrez matriarch is known for being protective of her family, especially when her children are being dragged into issues.
Recently, Richard and Barbie became more public about their relationship. Talking about their relationship in a recent interview, the actress said that they are not hiding. To recall, they had been spotted together several times in various instances. She said that they just opted not to flaunt it that much, and Richard agreed with this. He said that they want to keep things private.
As they became more open, some negative comments surfaced on social media. Based on the article in Abante by entertainment writer Jun Lalin, some netizens commented that Barbie Imperial will be in a feud with Annabelle Rama.
“Kalat ngayon sa internet world na si Barbie naman daw ang susunod na aawayin ni Tita Annabelle,” the entertainment writer, who is close to the Gutierrez matriarch, shared.
Lalin added that some netizens even pointed out that it is going to be a feud between two dolls, the haunted doll “Annabelle” and the pretty doll “Barbie.”
When Annabelle was asked about this issue, she showed support for Barbie, debunking social media narratives that pit the two against each other.
“Ano ba ‘yan?! Evil doll pa ako. Pero okey lang, hindi ko papatulan ‘yan. Bakit ko naman aawayin si Barbie? Wala kaming dapat pag-awayan. Saka gawa-gawa na naman ng iba ‘yan para magkagulo kami,” the showbiz veteran said.
Annabelle was aware that this kind of narrative had been circulating online. She even said that she knew where this was coming from and who was the one spreading it.
Then, Annabelle Rama said, “Wala naman akong dapat ipag-react kay Barbie. Mabait ‘yung tao.”
