Erwin Tulfo and Bong Go Lead the Charge in the Senate Race
ERWIN TULFO – ACT-CIS Representative Erwin Tulfo and Sen. Bong Go have emerged as the leading contenders in the highly anticipated Senate race, solidifying their positions as frontrunners.
Erwin Tulfo continues to lead the senatorial race for the upcoming May midterm elections, despite a five-point drop in voter preference. A Tangere survey conducted from January 8 to 11 revealed that Tulfo received 58% voter preference, down from 63% in the previous poll. The decline was most notable among respondents aged 18 to 25 and those over 51. Despite this, Tulfo remains firmly ahead as the top senatorial contender.
Senator Bong Go ranks second with 51% voter preference, supported strongly by voters in Mindanao and those aged 36 to 50. Close behind is Tulfo’s brother, Ben Tulfo, who earned 49.5%, tying for second to fourth place. Former Senate President Tito Sotto shares this rank with a 48% preference.
Former Senator Manny Pacquiao and Senator Pia Cayetano are statistically tied for fifth and sixth, securing 45% and 43.17% voter preference, respectively.

For the 11th to 15th spots, six candidates are statistically tied. Former Senator Panfilo Lacson has 32%, while Senator Imee Marcos closely follows at 31.67%. Makati Mayor Abby Binay garnered 31.5%, Senator Ronald dela Rosa 31%, former Senator Francis Pangilinan 30.71%, and former Senator Bam Aquino 30.58%.
