PAGASA Says Shear Line and Amihan to Affect PH weather Condition

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that Shear line and amihan will bring rain over parts of the country.

On Wednesday (January 22, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Three weather systems will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA weather specialist Benison Estareja reported that shear line, easterlies, and the northeast monsoon will bring overcast skies and rains over different parts of the country.

The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms are to be expected in the Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas.

The easterlies will bring similar weather conditions over Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur.

Amihan will bring cloudy skies with light rains are to be expected in Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon and the rest of Luzon.

The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the remaining parts of the country.

The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
