In an Instagram story, Neil Arce shares the message exchange with actress Barbie Imperial after watching Richard Gutierrez’s interview.
When in show business, being in a love team is one of the most inevitable things to happen, especially when the chemistry has clicked and is loved by the public. In the entertainment industry, one of the well-loved teams before were Richard Gutierrez and Angel Locsin.
They were collectively known as “ChardGel”. They have worked on several projects such as Mulawin, The Promise, I Will Always Love You, and La Luna Sangre.
Their on-screen romance did not translate in real life but they were able to pull off a special kind of friendship. Locsin is now married to Neil Arce and Gutierrez is currently rumored to be in a relationship with Barbie Imperial after he and his wife Sarah Lahbati separated.
In a previous article, Richard spoke about the real score with Barbie and according to him, “what you see is what you get”. He shared, “Nakilala ko si Barbie, matagal na kaming nagkahiwalay ng landas ni Sarah. So, yun, gusto ko lang i-clarify.”Â
He also defended Imperial as he clarified that she is not the third party and not the reason why he and Lahbati separated. There was no overlapping that happened. All of these and more were discussed in an interview with Ogie Diaz and the same interview was watched by Arce.
In a private messaging app, Arce contacted Imperial and teased her by sending a photo of two people watching the interview followed by this remark, “Chardgel pa rin.”
Imperial laughed at both messages and quipped, “Same”.
She added that Locsin and Gutierrez really look good together and their chemistry is exceptional. She wrote, “Bagay talaga sila bro” and “grabe yung chemistry”.
