MMFF 2024 Earnings, Breadwinner Movie Is The Highest Earner

Vice Ganda’s “And The Breadwinner Is” is the MMFF 2024 top earner.

MMFF 2024 – The top earner of this year’s film festival is the first dramatic-comedy movie of Vice Ganda called “And The Breadwinner Is”.

Unkabogable Superstar Vice Ganda’s movie earned over Php 400 million as of Tuesday, January 14, which was also the last day of showing of all official entries. The Star Cinema and The IdeaFirst Company feel overwhelmed by the support of the people for the film.

Breadwinner is the top earner

According to reports online, Vice Ganda’s “And The Breadwinner Is” movie is the top earner of this year. ABS-CBN News by Star Cinema confirmed on Wednesday that the movie earned more than Php 400 million.

The movie is directed by Jun Robles Lana and is now in its fourth week in theaters. It is also shown in other territories outside the Philippines.

Bambi will be in Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, London, France, Spain, Malta, Austria, Italy, New Zealand, Australia, the United States, Canada, Saipan, Guam, and Cambodia.

During the Metro Manila Film Festival’s Gabi ng Parangal, Vice received the Special Jury Citation award for her performance in the film. In this movie, the superstar comedian transitioned from being a comedy actor to a drama actor.

The Special Jury Citation award is given “to a performer who has broken the ground and gone out of the familiar and comfort zone to prove his growth as an artist and tackle issues relevant to the contemporary society”.

No specific figures were released for each film but following the Breadwinner movie in terms of earnings is Dennis Trillo and Ruru Madrid’s “Green Bones”.
