Jodi Sta Maria talked about ‘Lavender Fields’
Kapamilya Silent Superstar Jodi Sta Maria admitted that she doubted herself when she accepted the offer to do Lavender Fields.
Jodi’s career in the entertainment industry is an inspiration to many younger stars. From doing supporting roles, she became a lead star in teleseryes and movies at an unexpected time in her life.
She decided to be inactive in showbiz when she started focusing on her family after getting married to Pampi Lacson and having their son Thirdy. Unfortunately, that marriage was broken but the fortunate thing was that they remained friends.
When she returned to showbiz, she was given a big break with her leading role in the series Be Careful With My Heart. From that, her career continued to bloom.
The most recent teleserye project she did was Lavender Fields. During a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Jodi Sta Maria was asked who are the artists she wants to work with in the future.
“I guess siguro, kung may mga gusto pa ako, ang dami, eh. Kaya lang wala sila sa ABS-CBN. Kung sino ‘yung mga wala sa ABS-CBN, gusto kong makatrabaho,” the Kapamilya actress shared.
She added that there are so many good actors right now and there are a lot of revelations. Jodi also mentioned that there are a lot of underrated actors and those in the field of theater are also doing a great job.
The actress shared that she was challenged in doing her role in Lavender Fields. She said that it was her first time doing this genre. The actress admitted that when she accepted this project, she doubted if she could pull it off. Previously, she mentioned that she would have her showbiz hiatus after this project because she wanted to go back to her studies.
Jodi Sta Maria revealed that every time there was an action scene, she would tell the production team that they should rehearse a day before the shoot.
She also shared that her scenes with Janine Gutierrez were memorable for her because, in the series, they did not just have quarrels and girly fights but they had “bugbugan” encounters.
