Elderly Tricycle Driver Touches Many Hearts for Using Nebulizer While Waiting for Passengers
An elderly tricycle driver using a nebulizer while waiting for passengers goes viral online and touches many hearts.
A 66-year-old tricycle driver in Kabankalan City has touched many hearts online after a video showed him using a nebulizer while waiting for passengers. The video garnered various reactions from internet users.
The driver was identified as Juanito Barriga, a resident of Barangay Oringao. He was seen lined up near a mall, patiently waiting for passengers while managing his breathing with the help of a nebulizer.

The touching moment was captured by a traffic enforcer who happened to notice his condition.
Despite his age and health concerns, Juanito continues to work hard to support his family. He has been driving a tricycle for more than 17 years and is a father of eight children. For the past 15 years, he has been dealing with a respiratory illness, but he chooses to keep going because of financial needs.
Juanito also shared that he was not included in the first batch of tricycle drivers who received P5,000 each, even though his documents were complete. However, he has already registered again in hopes of receiving assistance in the second batch.
After the video went viral, help started to arrive from different groups and individuals in the community. He received free medical check-ups, cash assistance, and even a brand-new nebulizer to help with his condition.
Local officials also stepped in to extend support. He was given additional aid, including health-related supplies that could help him manage his illness better. These gestures brought relief not only to Juanito but also to his family.
Barriga continues to work, showing strength and dedication despite his condition.
