Lawyer of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy Speaks on Bail Request
APOLLO QUIBOLOY – The camp of the detained Pastor filed a motion seeking for him to be allowed to post a bail.
Pastor Quiboloy is currently detained in Pasig City Jail. In September 2024, he was arrested by the authorties after a few weeks of intensified operations of the Philippine National Police (PNP) at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ compound in Davao City.

Quiboloy is reportedly faced with charges in the Philippines as well as abroad. He was in hiding for several months prior to the intensified search of the PNP authorities at the KOJC compound in Davao City.
Despite his detention, the Pastor filed his candidacy for senator in the 2025 Elections through his lawyer. Undeniably, countless people were surprised when his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for senator was filed.

Pastor Apollo Quiboloy is running as an independent candidate for senator following an issue regarding the nomination of the Workers’ and Peasants’ Party (WPP). Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte who is a close friend of the Pastor vowed to campaign for him.

Recently, the lawyer of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy revealed that they filed a petition for bail. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, their camp argued that the evidence of guilt against the Pastor is not strong. According to Attorney Israelito Torreon, the private complainant already had a direct examination but the cross examination has yet to be conducted because of the complainant’s long testimony.
“We are hopeful that after the cross examination and after the presentation of the entire evidence on the part of the prosecution, the judge will be able to make a ruling that the evidence of guilt is not strong,” Atty. Torreon said.
On the other side, based on the report, the private prosecutors of the complainant “Amanda” said that they have the evidence to prove the guilt of Pastor Quiboloy. They are hoping for the bail motion to be junked by the Court.
Pastor Apollo Quiboloy attended the hearing despite a persistent cough.
