PAGASA Says 3 Weather Systems to Affect PH Weather Condition

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that three weather systems will bring rain over parts of the country.

On Monday (January 13, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. Three weather systems will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina shear line, easterlies, and the Northeast Monsoon will bring rains over some parts of the country.

“Ang northeast monsoon o hanging amihan ay magdadala ng maulap na kalangitan na may mahinang pag ulan, partikular na sa bahagi ng Cagayan Valley region, Cordillera, Aurora, gayundin sa bahagi ng Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal at Metro Manila,” said Badrina.

The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, and Quezon.

Ang shearline ay magdadala pa rin ng maulap na kalangitan, partikular ng mga pag-ulan sa bahagi ng Bicol region, Eastern Visayas, Mimaropa at lalawigan ng Quezon,” he said.

Moderate to heavy rains are expected over Quezon, Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, and Northern Samar.

The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Caraga and Davao Region.

Amihan will bring cloudy skies with rains over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and Rizal.

“Inaasahan natin ngayong araw sa kamaynilaan na malaki ang tyansa ng mahinang pag-ulan at maulap na kalangitan,” he added.

The northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the rest of Luzon.

The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms the rest of the country.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, and Visayas will be rough to very rough. Moderate to rough surrounding sea conditions are expected over the rest of Luzon and Visayas, according to PAGASA.
