First-Grade Students Apologize to Teacher with Heartfelt Letters
A teacher from Tondo, Manila, shared how her first-grade students apologized for being troublemakers by giving her handwritten letters.
Recently, Chen Maglajos or chenmaglajos, a TikTok user, shared a touching moment with her first-grade students when they apologized in the sweetest way after making trouble. The kids, feeling guilty about their behavior, wrote her heartfelt “sorry letters” that melted her heart.
The incident happened during a school activity where the students became rowdy, leading to pushing, fighting, and even some crying. Back in the classroom, the teacher firmly addressed their actions, explaining that while she was upset about their behavior, she wasn’t angry with them as individuals.

Nagsuntukan] tulakan at may nag-iyakan.
After the lecture, she stepped out briefly, and when she returned, she received a handwritten apology letter from her students.

The teacher was moved by their effort, even if their writing and spelling weren’t perfect. She appreciated how sincere and thoughtful the kids were, showing they understood the importance of taking responsibility for their actions.

For her, it reminded her why she chose to teach in the first place. Her experience showed how young children are capable of learning meaningful lessons about accountability and empathy.

“Naiyak ako at niyakap nila ako. It is one of the things that keeps me going sa aking profession,” Maglajos added.
