Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino: Movie Release Moved, Stirs Controversy

Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino unfollowed Star Cinema.

“My Love Will Make You Disappear” lead stars Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino unfollowed Star Cinema on Instagram.

ABS-CBN love teamĀ Kim ChiuĀ and Paulo Avelino are bringing their magic to the big screen. They are known as “KimPau” and their chemistry was first discovered in the series “Linlang”.

Last December 2024, the teaser for “My Love Will Make You Disappear”, their film was released, and their fans were excited in anticipation of the release of their first film together.

ā€œMy Love Will Make You Disappearā€ is directed by Chad Vidanes and produced underĀ Star Cinema. This refreshing romantic comedy was supposed to be released this February, however, based on a post, it has been moved to April.

This confusion has stirred controversy online and adding fuel to this issue is the rumored unfollowing of Avelino and Chiu to Star Cinema. Did KimPau unfollow the film’s producer?

The speculation grew further when Avelino deleted all his Instagram posts related to the film and as of this writing, there were no posts regarding the film seen on his social media account. Some fans were upset about this and they felt that Star Cinema disrespected the celebrity pair.

While others felt sad, there were others who doubted such a move as this might be just a strategy to create a buzz about the upcoming film.

Kim talked about the film based on a previous article. With all the successful blockbuster films of Star Cinema, they hope that theirs will be the next in line. As for Avelino, he wishes for their film to be part of everyoneā€™s Valentineā€™s celebration.

They understand that millions of KimPau fans worldwide are waiting for their upcoming film
