Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Speaks on Impeachment Complaints Filed against her
SARA DUTERTE – Amid the impeachment complaints filed agaainst her, the Vice President is confident that she did not break any law.
Last week, the third impeachment complaint against Vice Pres. Duterte was filed. The complainants include religious individuals specifically Catholic priests from the different dioceses in the Philippines.

According to the priests who were part of the complainants of the third impeachment complaint against Duterte, it is their moral obligation. Here are the complainants behind the most recent impeachment complaint against the Vice President:
- priests from the Diocese of Novaliches, Order of Carmelites, Congregation of Mission
- Member, Konsensya Davao and Selda
- Union of People’s Lawyers in Mindanao
- founder and members of Stand Up for God Rosary Group
- founder of Stop Corruption Philippines

The impeachment complaints against Vice Pres. Duterte cited the questions on the Confidential Funds spending of the Office of the Vice President (OVP) as well as the Confidential Funds of the Department of Education (DepEd) when Duterte was the education secretary.

Vice Pres. Duterte admitted that the impeachment complaints may be an inconvenience to the staff members of the OVP but, for her, it is a venue where she can address the accusations against her properly. The Vice President has been vocal about her gratitude to the people who continue to support her and the OVP amid the “crisis”.

Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte spoke anew on the impeachment complaints filed against her. Based on a report on GMA News, the Vice President expressed her confidence that she did not break any law.
Furthermore, based on the report, Duterte stressed that she did not commit anything illegal. According to the Vice President, she will face it once there is a case filed.
“Well, I am confident that I did not break any law. I did not do anything illegal… Kapag nandiyan na ang kaso, haharapin pa rin namin,” the Vice President said.
The Vice President said that her lawyers are already ready if a case will be filed against her. Former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte may also stand as a lawyer of VP Sara if there will be an impeachment trial.
