Coco Martin is the new endorser of Next Generation Tamaraw
Kapamilya actor Coco Martin shared his story about Tamaraw FX, a wagon-type vehicle sold by Toyota from 1992 to 2002.
Coco is one of the most successful celebrities of his generation. It is known to many that he had a humble beginning. He was not born with a silver spoon and his life before showbiz had a lot of challenges.
When he was already in showbiz, things weren’t easy as well in the beginning as he also received rejection even from his now home network ABS-CBN.
Despite the challenges he went through, Coco Martin was able to soar high in the entertainment industry. Aside from being an in-demand actor, he also has a lot of endorsement projects.
One of these was the Toyota Tamaraw Next Generation, based on the article in The Philippine Star. Just recently, he was launched as the new endorser of this car brand.
During the launch, Coco shared that he has a fond childhood memory with Tamaraw FX. “Nu’ng ‘90s, hindi ko makakalimutan kasi batang Tamaraw ako e. Kasi ‘yung FX nun, ‘yan ‘yung everyday na kasa-kasama mo sa buhay, either driver ka, nagta-trabaho ka sa opisina, sa restaurant, lahat ‘yan, sinasakyan natin,” the Kapamilya actor shared.
Another fond memory that he has when the time his uncle would tell him to clean the Tamaraw FX he was driving.
This type of vehicle was commonly configured as an air-conditioned public utility vehicle (PUV) that could cater to eight passengers.
After cleaning his uncle’s vehicle, he would just receive P20. Growing up, Coco had several jobs to make ends meet. Before becoming an actor, he was a waitstaff and barista. He also became an overseas Filipino worker working as a janitor and housekeeper in Canada.
Now, he is the boss but he does not forget to prepare for his future. With all the challenges that he went through, he said that those were preparations for him to be stronger to achieve success.
Before, he was just riding the Tamaraw FX, now he is its endorser. “Sabi ko nga dati, sumasakay lang ako ng FX… Tapos ngayon, umikot siya bilang pamilya ng Tamaraw ngayon,” Coco Martin said.
