Young Lady in Palawan Allegedly Abused by Tricycle Driver Who Suddenly Takes Detour
A young lady was allegedly abused by a tricycle driver in Roxas, Palawan, the authorities are now investigating the incident.
Recently, Magbanua Juliano Ijisel, a Facebook user, shared the heartbreaking experience of her niece during a tricycle ride. The post quickly circulated online and elicited reactions from the online community.
According to the girl’s aunt, her 16-year-old niece rode a tricycle around noon on December 16, 2024, intending to head to school from Barangay Tres. However, the driver suddenly changed directions and drove toward a secluded area near Barangay Malcampo.
The girl’s family realized something was wrong when she failed to return home on time. They immediately reported her disappearance to the police and launched a search operation to locate her.
When the girl eventually returned home in the early hours of the morning, she was tearful as she shared what happened. She recounted how the driver tricked her by saying they needed to pick up his child.
Instead, he brought her to a remote beach area. There, he allegedly threatened her with a knife. Fearing for her life, the girl managed to escape and hid to avoid being seen. Despite her panic, she walked for hours until darkness fell, barefoot and wearing only her socks. She finally made her way back home around 3 a.m.
Due to her fear and shock, the girl couldn’t clearly remember the driver’s face since it was covered. Her family is now calling for authorities to act swiftly to identify and catch the suspect.
