In the recent It’s Showtime episode, Ruffa Gutierrez mentioned her ex-husband.
Actress Ruffa Gutierrez was a guest in It’s Showtime and during her appearance, she mentioned Yilmaz Bektas and this is what she said.
Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas is the ex-husband of actress-beauty queen Ruffa Gutierrez. More than 12 years ago, their annulment was granted and it was a bittersweet journey for the actress.
After they separated, their relationship was initially rough, and they did not communicate for many years. However, it did not reach the point where Ruffa had to take their two daughters from him.
After over a decade, Ruffa and Yilmaz were able to reconnect for the sake of their two daughters Lorin and Venice. They talked and the Turkish businessman opened up to her about his desire to spend time with his children since he is not getting younger.
Gutierrez and Bektas were married in 2003. In 2007, Gutierrez admitted that she and Bektas had parted ways and it was in 2011 that their marriage was declared null and void.
With renewed friendship, they are now co-parenting their children and recently, during Ruffa’s appearance in one It’s Showtime segment, she mentioned him.
She was asked if there was a time she became the breadwinner for their family and she refuted this. Ruffa shared there was never a time that she became a breadwinner since her parents are good providers but currently, she is the breadwinner for her two daughters.
It’s a bit of a heavy responsibility but she is thankful that Yilmaz is “nabuhay” and now providing.
She quipped, “Pero ako ang sole breadwinner ng mga anak ko ngayon. Kahit na yung tatay… buti na lang nabuhay nagbibigay na rin ng konti. Thank you, Yilmaz!”
