Vilma Santos and Judy Ann Santos could have been together in this movie
Star For All Season Vilma Santos chose to do the thriller movie Uninvited over the movie Espantaho which has a horror theme and this received a reaction from drama superstar Judy Ann Santos.
Espantaho was supposed to be the first movie together of Vilma and Juday. This was included in the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival. However, the veteran actress also received an offer to do the movie Uninvited with Aga Muhlach and Nadine Lustre.
Vilma chose the thriller film over the horror film. In a recent interview, Juday expressed that just like many artists, she also dreams of working with Vilma, as well as, with Superstar Nora Aunor.
Judy Ann Santos shared that Vilma Santos called her to explain her decision to chose to other movie which is also part of the MMFF 2024. She said that the veteran actress did not need to do that.
Based on the article in Pilipino Star Ngayon, Juday said that perhaps this is not yet the right time for her to have a project with Vilma. She also believes that everything happened for a reason.
“Ang importante, natuloy ang pelikula at natapos, nabuo. Again. Maaaring hindi ito ‘yung time na magsama kami ni Ate Vi. I mean, naniniwala ako na darating ang panahon na may perfect project for us,” Juday said.
Seasoned actress Lorna Tolentino was the one who replaced Vilma in Espantaho. Juday added that she understood Vilma’s explanation and there was no problem with this.
“Naniniwala naman din ako sa explanation ni ate Vi. Gets na gets ko so there’s really nothing to. . . Walang comparison, eh,” she said. Juday also believes that to whoever the role was given, this means that she was perfect for that role.
Then, Judy Ann Santos shared that after she saw the trailer of Uninvited, this made her realize why Vilma Santos chose to do that project. She could say that the character of the veteran actress was so intense and as a fellow actress, she understood the choice that was made.
