A report claimed that the woman in this video was Neri Miranda
Neri Miranda – The Southern Police District released the supposed actual video of the arrest of actress alias “Neri” which they later changed to “Erin.”
On November 26, SPD shared a post on Facebook about the actress and businesswoman who was arrested for violating the Securities Regulation Code. Prior to this, talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz shared in his Showbiz Update vlog a report that Neri was arrested.
Amid this issue, Neri’s husband Parokya ni Edgar vocalist Chito Miranda was criticized for posting a photo of a toy. The actress-entrepreneur has not released a statement yet regarding this issue.
On November 27, ABS-CBN News shared a report showing the supposed actual video when Neri Miranda, formerly Neri Nagi, was arrested.
Reportedly, the arrest happened on Saturday, November 23, at a convention center in a mall in Pasay City. SPD stated that the actress-entrepreneur is the 7th most wanted person at the station level due to 14 counts of violating the Securities Regulation Code.
The Pasay City Regional Trial Court (RTC) branch 111 issued the warrant of arrest on September 18, 2024, and October 16, 2024. Reportedly, Neri is also facing a separate case of estafa before the RTC Branch 112.
The Kapamilya news outlet was able to secure a copy of the supposed video of Neri’s arrest.
In the video, a police officer was reading the Miranda rights to the arrested woman. “Narito po ako para po ipaalam at ihain po sa inyo ang warrant of arrest na in-issue ni Judge Gina Bibat Palamos ng Regional Trial Court, Branch 111, Pasay City. Ito pong warrant niyo po ay para sa 14 counts under po siya Section 28 of R.A. 8799, on the Securities Regulation Code,” the police officer narrated.
Then, the usual rights of a person being arrested were narrated. She has the right to remain silent, the right to get her own lawyer, or the state can provide one for her, and she also has the right to get her own doctor to conduct a physical examination.
