Marcos Emphasizes Faith as a Guiding Principle for Future Leaders

Marcos Calls on Future Leaders to Lead W/ Integrity and Vision

MARCOS – President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. underscored the importance of faith as a guiding principle, urging future leaders to anchor their decisions in integrity, vision, and a sense of purpose beyond themselves.

Bongbong Marcos underscored the importance of faith as a cornerstone for effective leadership during the 49th National Prayer Breakfast held at Malacañang yesterday. In his speech, the President highlighted the need for leaders to cultivate integrity, vision, and harmony, emphasizing that faith serves as a “beacon for the future.”

“You will draw courage from it when faced with doubt. It will temper your ambition with a sense of purpose greater than self,” Marcos said, likening leadership without faith to a ship adrift without a compass.

Bongbong Marcos stressed that true leadership, one capable of transforming lives for the better, must be rooted in wisdom and anchored in faith and God. The President urged leaders to recommit to service guided by prayerful discernment, ensuring that every decision is infused with love, mercy, and humility.

“Let us bequeath to the next generation a leadership culture that values integrity over expediency, vision over short-term goals, and harmony over discord,” Marcos said. He called on leaders to seek divine wisdom, foster unity, and build bridges where divides exist.

Faith, according to the President, is not only a personal guide but also a means to unite communities and navigate challenges. He described prayer as a “powerful tool” in overcoming adversity and fostering a sense of collective purpose. Marcos warned against divisiveness, which often blinds people to their shared humanity and common goals.

“In a world where the pace of change can outstrip our capacity to care for others, such moments of collective introspection are more crucial than ever,” he said.

Marcos concluded by encouraging leaders to embrace a culture of leadership that prioritizes the greater good over personal ambition. He expressed optimism that through faith and integrity, the nation’s best days lie ahead.

The National Prayer Breakfast served as a platform for reflection and inspiration, reminding leaders of their profound responsibility to serve with purpose, guided by faith and a vision for a harmonious and prosperous future.
