The actress revealed that the concept for her entry had been in the works since May, but her packed schedule initially made it challenging to bring her vision to life. “This idea had been on my mind since the end of May,” she wrote.
“At that time, my schedule was too hectic, and the trend was already fading. Medyo alanganin na kung itutuloy ko pa. I could have pushed through, but I would’ve had to simplify my vision for this challenge.”
Andrea emphasized that compromising her creative aspirations wasn’t an option. Instead, she waited for the right moment to execute her ideas fully, ensuring her video would reflect the true essence of being Filipino.
Halfway through her post, Andrea disclosed a touching dedication behind her entry. She created it as a tribute to the Filipino people, honoring both past and present heroes who inspire pride and unity.
“I dedicate this sa ating mga bayani who fought for our freedom, to our families who serve as the heart of our culture, to our modern-day heroes, our Indigenous communities, our global icons, and national pride, and every hardworking Filipino out there,” Andrea wrote.
Andrea Brillantes’ decision to proceed with the project before the year ended was driven by a deeper purpose beyond the trending challenge. “This wasn’t just about following a ‘trend,’” she explained. “I did it to show my love for Filipinos and how proud I am to be Pinoy!”
