Duterte seemingly got annoyed when former Sen. Trillanes spoke and made accusations about his bank account. He even dared the former President to sign a bank secrecy waiver so his bank transactions can be checked to prove his claim that there’s a huge amount there based on the transactions.

At the House Quad Comm hearing, former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV also claimed that the Duterte drug war is allegedly “fake”. According to him, the former President allegedly did it only to protect his then presidential adviser, Michael Yang.

“We concluded na peke talaga ito,” the former Senator said.

Trillanes further claimed that Duterte launched his war on drugs campaign to allegedly remove his competitors in the illegal drug trade.

“Tapos yung drug list na sinasabi ni Duterte, mayroong mga legitimate na personalities doonPero kapag may kailangan silang isingit na mga kalaban nila sa drug business, sinisingit po nila doon,” the former Senator claimed.

Earlier in the hearing, former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte insisted that Michael Yang who was his presidential adviser then was not involved in illegal drug trade. At the hearing, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte showed support for her father, former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte, with her presence.
