Amid the Drug War Investigation, Former PCSO Chief Garma Exits the Probe Scene
FORMER PCSO CHIEF GARMA – Amid the drug war probe, former police colonel Royina Garma has reportedly left the Philippines.
Both the Senate and the House of Representatives are currently investigating the war on drugs of the Duterte administration. Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has repeatedly snubbed the House Quad Committee investigation but he appeared at the inquiry of the upper chamber.
In his latest statement, former Pres. Duterte claimed that he has no more money for his transportation to Metro Manila for the House hearing. According to the former Chief Executive, he is living within his retirement pay now and he has no bank savings.
Amid the investigation, former police colonel Royina Garma who is also a former general manager of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) claimed that the drug war was allegedly implemented on a rewards system. Former Pres. Duterte denied the allegation.
According to former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte, the cops won’t accept money as they are shy. The former Chief Executive whose administration is most popular for its war on drugs campaign claimed that what he usually does is to treat the police with food and drinks.
Senator Bong Go who is a long-time aide of Duterte and was the special assistant to the president during Duterte’s term denied the claim of former PCSO chief Garma. The former police colonel was previously detained at the House.
However, based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the sources claimed that former PCSO chief Garma has left the Philippines after she was released from detention. Her release came after she vowed to attend the next hearings of the House Quad Comm.
Based on the report, sources of ABS-CBN News claimed that former police colonel Royina Garma left the Philippines for Washington, DC with her daughter last November 7. As of this writing, the authorities have yet to release a statement on reported departure of the former PCSO General Manager.
The investigation on the war on drugs by the House Quad Comm is ongoing. Previously, House Quad Comm co-chair Rep. Joseph Stephen Paduano claimed that former Pres. Duterte may be scared so he ditches the hearing.
