There are several GSIS loans that members may apply for based on the financial need, In times of calamity, there is the GSIS Emergency Loan offer or also called as the GSIS Calamity Loan.

The said loan offer is designed to help the qualified GSIS members have an access to loans to obtain cash that can help them in recovering from the impacts of natural calamity. You can check the qualifications below.

The GSIS Calamity Loan offer is open for GSIS members who are bona fide residents or employees of the government office within the declared calamity area who are in active service and not on leave of absence without pay and has no arrearages in the payment of mandatory social insurance contributions nor loan that has been declared in default.

According to the GSIS, the calamity declaration must have been made by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan/Panglungsod and/or the National Disaster Reduction Risk Management Council.

Under the loan offer, a member may borrow Php 20,000 that is payable for up to 36 monthly installments. The state entity implements a 6% interest rate. Here are the areas covered under the GSIS Calamity Loan November 2024:
