PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Monday (November 4, 2024)
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that Tropical Storm Marce has entered PAR as the country’s 13th storm.
On Monday (November 4, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Tropical Storm Marce will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA reported that Tropical Depression Marce has intensified into a tropical storm as it entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility. It was spotted 935 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas.
Marce has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 80 kph. It is moving west-northwest at 25 kph.
The tropical storm Marce is expected to enhance the surge of the northeasterly wind flow within the week over Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Isabela, Ilocos Norte, Aurora, and the northern portion of Quezon.
“This, and the trough of the tropical cyclone, will bring rains over Extreme Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Luzon beginning tomorrow or on Tuesday,” PAGASA said.
Marce may move more westward towards Extreme Northern Luzon or mainland Luzon or it will move over the Philippine Sea east of Extreme Northern Luzon.
The weather agency said that Marce has a chance of becoming a severe tropical storm on Tuesday morning or afternoon (November 5) and may reach the typhoon category by Tuesday evening or Wednesday (November 6).
“This tropical cyclone is expected to gradually intensify and may reach severe tropical storm category by tomorrow (November 5) morning or afternoon. Furthermore, it may also reach the typhoon category by tomorrow evening or early Wednesday morning,” PAGASA said.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the seaboards of Babuyan Islands, mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Ilocos Region, Kalayaan Islands, Aurora, Camarines Norte, northern and eastern seaboard of northern Quezon including Polillo Islands, Catanduanes, Northern Samar, and Eastern Samar as well as Camarines Sur will be moderate.
