Office Of The Vice President Officials Requested To Be On A Lookout Bulletin

These are the seven Office Of The Vice President officials.

OFFICE OF THE VICE PRESIDENT – The House panel asked the Department of Justice to issue a lookout bulletin against these officials.

The House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability urged the Department of Justice to issue a lookout bulletin order against several officials of the Office of the Vice President. This formal request was prompted by their repeated refusal to attend the hearings despite being subpoenaed.

This was made as the probe into Vice President Sara Duterte‘s alleged misuse of funds resumed.

Manila 3rd District Rep. Joel Chua, chairman of the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability was the one who made the request. The invitation to these officials to attend the hearings is to shed light on the alleged financial irregularities in the OVP.

Supposedly, the committee received information about the officials preparing to leave the country.

The seven officials are:

  1. Atty. Zuleika T. Lopez-Chief of Staff of the Office of the Vice President (OVP)
  2. Atty. Lemuel G. Ortonio – Assistant Chief of Staff and Chairperson of the Bids and Awards of the OVP
  3. Atty. Rosalynne L. Sanchez – Director for Administrative and Financial Services of the OVP
  4. Ms. Gina F. Acosta – Special Disbursing Officer of the OVP
  5. Ms. Juleita Villadelrey – Chief Accountant of the OVP
  6. Mr. Edward D. Fajarda – Special Disbursing Officer of the Department of Education, now with the OVP
  7. Atty. Sunshine Charry A. Fajarda – Former Assistant Secretary of the Department of Education

“Considering these developments, I earnestly request your office to issue a Lookout Bulletin Order against these personalities,” Chua said in the letter addressed to Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla.

The Lookout Bulletin Order can “prevent any potential attempt to flee the country”. Their testimonies are crucial in the probe that is still ongoing following the fund mismanagement according to findings by the Commission on Audit (COA).
