One of the most popular politicians in the Philippines is Sara Duterte-Carpio. Aside from being a presidential daughter, she is the mayor of Davao City.
Sara Duterte’s Personal Background
Born on May 31, 1978, the complete name of the Davao City Mayor is Sara Duterte-Carpio. She is the second child of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Elizabeth Zimmerman, a flight attendant. Her elder brother is Paolo Duterte and their younger brother is Sebastian “Baste” Duterte. However, Sara’s parents separated.
In college, Sara enrolled in San Pedro College and took BS Respiratory Therapy which she finished in 1999. She took law at San Sebastian College-Recoletos and graduated in May 2005. She is a full-fledged colonel in the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Mayor Inday Sara Duterte’s age now is 43 years old. She is married to her fellow lawyer, Manases Carpio. They met when she was attending San Beda University and they officially tied the knot in 2007. The marriage of the couple was blessed with three (3) children – a daughter they named Mikhaila Maria or Sharky, and sons Mateo Lucas or Stingray and Marko Digong or Stonefish.
Sara Duterte’s Political Career
Mayor Inday Sara Duterte is the first woman mayor in of her city and she is the youngest to have been elected in the said position. Prior to it, she served as the vice mayor of the city for three (3) years. She has also served as a governor of the Philippine Red Cross in 2014.
