Ilocos Norte Representative Sandro Marcos Reacts To Vice Pres. Sara Duterte’s Statements
SANDRO MARCOS – The presidential Son and Ilocos Norte Representative reacted to the intense statements of Vice President Sara Duterte against his family members.
The public is well aware that the relationship between Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and Pres. Bongbong Marcos has turned sour. There were several instances when the Vice President threw strong remarks against the Chief Executive.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos does not know how to be a president and it is not her fault. When asked to rate the performance of the Chief Executive in being president from 1-10 with 10 as the highest, the Vice President did not hesitate to rate him with “one”.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte also claimed to throw the remains of Marcos Sr. into the West Philippine Sea if the alleged attacks against her don’t stop. She also claimed that she had ill thoughts against Pres. Bongbong Marcos which made her realize that their relationship has become toxic.
According to Vice Pres. Duterte, her ill thoughts against the Chief Executive came after a student asked for the watch of Pres. Marcos during the graduation event and it was confirmed by the AFP. The Vice President expressed disappointment over the student being left on an awkward situation with two (2) people laughing at what he allegedly did.
The recent remarks of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte earned different comments from the people. Malacañang remained mum on the tirades of the Vice President against Pres. Bongbong Marcos but his son, Ilocos Norte Rep. Sandro Marcos, could not hold it anymore.
Based on a report on GMA News, Sandro Marcos voiced out his disdain following the strong remarks of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte against his father, Pres. Bongbong Marcos, and his late grandfather, former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Sr. He believes that many people across the Philippines share his sentiments.
”Forget that the objects of her derisions are dear to me, but I would also be remiss in my responsibility as an Ilocano representative if I didn’t voice out my disdain at the abhorrent comments she so carelessly uttered,” the younger Marcos said.
According to Ilocos Norte Rep. Sandro Marcos, he had stayed silent out of respect for the Vice President and in obedience to his father who refrained him from making any statement. However, he stressed that the Vice President has “crossed the line”.
“One must draw the line at some point and it’s frankly long overdue. Going ballistic was perhaps the self-therapy she prescribed for herself,” the presidential Son said.
Based on the report, Marcos also stressed that it is an opportune time to be reminded of the value of keeping one’s mental health in good state. According to him, he hopes that the Vice President is okay and that she finds peace.
“I sincerely hope she is okay… May she find the peace of mind and mental clarity that seems to be eluding her,” the Ilocos Norte Representative said.
Following her statements against the Marcoses, several lawmakers suggested psychological assessment on Vice Pres. Sara Duterte.
