WALANG PASOK – Various local government units declared class suspensions due to Tropical Depression Kristine.
On early Monday (October 21, 2024), Tropical Depression Kristine entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and is currently moving toward the northeastern part of Luzon. With maximum winds of 55 kph and gusts reaching up to 70 kph, the storm is expected to intensify into a tropical storm.
Areas under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1, such as Catanduanes and parts of Northern Samar and Eastern Samar, are bracing for winds of up to 61 kph.
Due to the effects of Tropical Depression Kristine, several areas in the Philippines have announced class suspensions for Monday. The precautionary measure ensures the safety of students as the storm continues to affect parts of Luzon and Visayas.

“Stay safe and dry, everyone! Wag rin po natin kalimutan ang ating mga alagang hayop sa labas ng bahay,” Cavite Gov. Athena Tolentino said.
Authorities are urging residents in affected areas to stay safe and monitor weather updates. Classes remain suspended until further notice.
