Here’s why VP Sara said this about President Bongbong Marcos.
Vice President Sara Duterte and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. had a “toxic relationship” before and here’s why she said this statement.
On Friday, October 18, Vice President Sara Duterte held a press conference to set the record straight. In the event, the vice president recalled the time when she realized that the relationship she had with President Bongbong Marcos started becoming toxic.
In a previous article, Duterte said “never again” to teaming with Marcoses but before the fallout between the former allies, things started to become toxic.
Senator Imee Marcos spoke about the issue of Duterte and Marcos and according to her, she is not in the place to take sides as both people are important to her. She said, “Kapag may dalawa kayong kaibigan ‘di nagkakaunawaan, gagatungan mo pa ba? Palagay ko hindi ano.”
During the press conference, Duterte shared the story of the time when she felt like chopping off the head of the president. She candidly made the confession and it happened in a graduation event they both attended.
Based on her story, one of the graduates asked if he could have the president’s watch as a graduation gift, and accordingly, the response was, “Why would I give you my watch?”
It was at this point that while feeling ill and not well, she felt like removing his head and that was when she realized that they had a toxic relationship. She added that those beside them did not help the situation as she saw the humiliation in the kid’s face.
“I wanted to remove his head. I realized the relationship was already toxic,” she said
To recall, the issue between the two leaders of the country started after the investigation linking Duterte with the misuse of public funds, which was something she denied.
