Student Bully in Pasig Faces Complaint After Victim’s Family Report It to Police Authorities

A student bully in Pasig City is facing legal consequences after the family of the victim has filed a police complaint.

The family of the victim, a Grade 10 student, has filed a police complaint against a 16-year-old classmate, who was seen in the video slapping and threatening the boy while forcing him to kneel.

Other students who merely watched and did nothing were also included in the complaint. The victim’s family only became aware of the bullying when the video began spreading online.

The family members were upset by the school’s decision to impose a light punishment, three days of community service, which they felt was insufficient given the severity of the bullying. The boy has reportedly been traumatized by the incidents, even refusing to attend school.

Further investigation revealed that this was not the first time the student had been bullied by the same individuals. His family felt that the punishment didn’t reflect the emotional and physical harm he had suffered.

The victim’s family filed charges not only for physical abuse but also for violating the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013.

The local government of Pasig has taken the matter seriously, coordinating with the Pasig Schools Division Office to look into the incident. Authorities have confirmed that the video will be used as key evidence, along with a psychological assessment of the victim’s trauma.

The government has also urged caution in sharing the video further to protect both the victim and those involved.

The incident has sparked discussions about bullying in schools and whether current disciplinary measures are enough to prevent further incidents.
