Will Willie Revillame give in to requests in politics?
Veteran television host Willie Revillame is encouraged by prominent people to run for senator in the 2025 elections.
Willie has been in the entertainment industry for many years already. His shows in the past, including his current Wil To Win show, are known to cater to the “masa” with fun games and big prizes.
With his popularity and influence, there have been instances in which Willie is rumored to crossover into the political arena. Even back in 2018, rumors circulated that he discussed political plans with former President Rodrigo Duterte.

In 2023, the veteran TV host expressed his willingness to enter politics. He said that he planned to run for senator in the 2025 elections.
However, his decision changed last July. In a statement, he said that he lost his interest in politics and it is because of the arguments and misunderstandings that he witnessed among politicians.
The filing of the certificate of candidacy for next year’s elections started last October 1. There is no sign that Willie Revillame gained back his interest in running. Several showbiz personalities have already filed their COC for various positions. Some are re-electionists while some are newbies in the world of politics.
However, based on the article in PEP, some people are still hoping that Willie will eventually file his COC. He said that there were still those who continuously encouraged him to run. The TV host also said that prominent people were calling him to persuade him to file his COC until Tuesday, October 8.

Willie did not commit anything. He pointed out that “awayan” has been happening in Congress and Senate. Representatives and Senators are against each other. He said that he was thinking that being in this kind of fight, he would fight for the poor.
“Hindi ako makikipag-away para sa sarili ko. Hindi ko na kailangan ng power. Hindi ko na kailangan ng pera kasi hindi ko naman madadala sa libingan ang lahat ng yan. Okay naman yung mga anak ko, may mga bahay na sila,” Willie Revillame said.
