Andrea Brillantes Clarifies No VIP Treatment At Olivia Rodrigo Concert

Andrea Brillantes was criticized by netizens because of this

Kapamilya actress Andrea Brillantes clarified that she did not receive VIP treatment at the Olivia Rodrigo concert.

The international pop star, who has Filipino blood, held a concert in the Philipines for her Guts World Tour on October 5 at the Philippine Arena. Her concert announcement went viral in the country because of its ticket price. Olivia’s Pinoy fans felt excited about the affordable concert tickets.

All tickets, regardless of seat position were just worth Php 1,500. With this affordable price for a concert ticket, buyers are only allowed to have four tickets per person. The tickets were given to the concertgoers at the venue randomly.

Before the concert happened, rumors circulated that Andrea Brillantes had VIP access to the tickets. A post on X, formerly Twitter, accused the Kapamilya actress of having a physical ticket prior to the allotted time of the release.

In her reply to this issue against her, Andrea said that she normally does not engage in negative comments on her but Olivia’s Guts album is very dear to her. The actress said that she did not have any idea what the netizen was talking about.

I NEVER posted anything like that and it would’ve been IMPOSSIBLE because I didn’t even have a physical ticket before the 28th,” she stressed.

After the concert, Andrea became a trending topic again on X. She was accused of receiving VIP treatment. It is because she posted an Instagram story saying that she was the first person at the queue.

β€œI was the first one to line up sa [queue] number lane namin omg НАВАВАНАНАНАНАНАНА,” she wrote in the caption of her video. Apparently, this received negative reactions from netizens, especially those who waited a long time to enter the concert venue.

Here are some posts on X accusing Andrea Brillantes.

Amid the negative reactions against her, Andre Brillantes clarified that it was not a VIP treatment.

β€œOopsiee- I just realized I worded that poorly, and it came off as me bragging about my spot. But y’all got it wrongggg:/ what I meant to say was, sa aga ko pumila kaninang umaga I ended up first in line in my queue number lane. Kaya ako lang tao nandun bc I lined up very early for it πŸ™‚ it wasn’t VIP treatment or anything magical,” she wrote in her post.
