Update on Condition of Doc Willie Ong amid Cancer Battle
Doc Willie Ong shared through a Facebook Live the positive update about his condition amid his fight against sarcoma cancer.
Currently, Doc Willie is in Singapore for the treatment of his cancer. The popular cardiologist was diagnosed with sarcoma, a rare type of cancer that is one of the hardest to treat. He is receiving his chemotherapy session abroad.
However, amid his fight against cancer, Doc Willie Ong recently announced that he is running for senator in the May 2025 Elections. His announcement earned different reactions from the people.
Some netizens expressed support on the pursuit of Doc Willie in his goal to help the Filipino people and strive for a better healthcare system in the country. On the other side, there are also netizens who disagree on the decision of the cardiologist urging him to focus on his health.
As for Doc Willie, he is looking forward to two (2) miracles — his recovery from cancer and his win in the 2025 Elections although he will not spend big on the campaign. Prior to his election bid announcement, the cardiologist stressed that everything that he does is for the Filipino people.
Doc Willie also made a promise that if he dies in his fight against cancer, he will take care of the Filipino people from the Above. According to Doc Willie, he will stop making health videos as he has another focus once he is okay.
Recently, Dra. Liza Ong filed the candidacy of Doc Willie for senator in next year’s election. The cardiologist is in Singapore and recently had a hospital visit for a check-up. Based on a recent update from Doc Willie through a Facebook Live, he is gaining strength now.
Doc Willie Ong also stressed that the color of his skin is back to normal and his test results regarding his organs are now normal.
