These are the public figures from the entertainment industry and social media aiming to be elected in this election 2025.
The filing of certificates of candidacy (COC) for the 2025 national and local elections or the midterm election, has officially started. The Commission On Election (COMELEC) opened the filing on October 1 and the filing process will last until October 8.
According to COMELEC, more than 18,000 elective seats are up for grabs for both local and national polls. On the first day of the filing, a handful of famous people showed up ranging from veteran politicians, celebrities, and content creators to former nuisance candidates from the poll held in 2022.
Among the veteran politicians who filed their COC are Sen. Francis Tolentino running under Alyansa ng Bagong Pilipinas, House Speaker Martin Romualdez seeking re-election, former Manila mayor Lito Atienza for the Buhay partylist, and former House senior deputy minority leader Neri Colmenares for the Bayan Muna partylist.
Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte seeks re-election for the third time. Senator Nancy Binay and Monsour del Rosario are running mates eyeing the mayor and vice mayor seats of Makati, respectively.

- Arjo Atayde is an actor and current representative of the 1st district of Quezon City. He filed for re-election running for congressman in Quezon City.
- Marco Gumabao, an actor is running for representative of the Camarines Sur 4th District.
- Enzo Pineda, an actor is running for councilor in Quezon City.
- Alfred Vargas is an actor and current councilor of the 5th district of Quezon City. He is running for councilor in Quezon City.
- Alex Castro, actor, is the current vice governor of Bulacan. He aims for re-election as vice governor of Bulacan.
- Rosmar Tan, vlogger, is running for councilor in Manila City.
- JC Parker, actress, is currently a councilor in Angeles City. She will be running for councilor in Angeles City, Pampanga.
- Ion Perez, host and actor, is running for councilor in Concepcion, Tarlac.
For national position:
- Marc Gamboa, a vlogger, filed to run for senator.
