In PH, Guo is facing accusations linking her to the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming operations. The authorities also questioned her identity and address her as Guo Hua Ping, a Chinese national who entered the Philippines in 2003.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) previously confirmed that the fingerprints of the former Bamban Mayor and Gua Hua Ping matched. However, during the recent Senate and House of Representatives hearings, Alice Guo continuously asserts that she’s a Filipino.

In a recent Senate hearing, Alice Guo also denied being the mastermind of the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming operations in the country. Former Mayor Guo claimed that she’s a victim and the authorities probably already know the person who is on top of everything.

Based on a report on GMA News, at the Senate hearing, Guo stressed that she is not guilty but she was also not used. According to her, if she has extended some help, it is because that she is helpful.

At the hearing, Alice Guo was asked if she is willing to name the “most guilty” individual in the illegal POGO operations in the Philippines. The former Mayor answered in the affirmative.

“Yes po, your honor,” the former Mayor said.

The answer of Guo was welcomed by Senator Risa Hontiveros. Based on the report, the Senator said that it is the first time that she heard Guo Hua Ping say that the lawmakers have guessed something in the story.

The committee approved the motion for an executive session but the former Mayor requested the panel that it will be done in the presence of her two (2) legal counsels who were not present at the hearing.

Based on the report, Alice Guo, later on, agreed to the lawmakers’ statement to just start the executive session with her legal counsels attending it through Zoom and just resume it next week. Following the executive session which lasted a few minutes, Sen. JV Ejercito affirmed that they got something.

“May napala naman,” the Senator said.
