Ken Chan had GMA’s permission for his vacation abroad
The handler of Kapuso actor Ken Chan said that there is no need for his camp to release an official statement on the estafa complaint against him.
Reportedly, Ken’s investors in his restaurant business filed a complaint against him. Allegedly, because of this, he went out of the country to evade arrest. However, sources close to the actor stressed that Ken already planned the vacation with his family even before the supposed complaint blew up on social media.
A source revealed in a recent article that the Kapuso actor will definitely return to the Philippines to face the complaint against him.
In a recent article by entertainment writer Jun Lalin in Abante, there is no truth that Ken Chan just left without telling his management. A blind item which was speculated that was about Ken claimed that the actor just suddenly left the country amid the issue and his character in a series had to be terminated.
Lalin asked Ken’s handler Tracy Garcia if GMA has no plan to release a statement regarding the issue involving the actor. The handler shared that Ken already consulted his legal counsel regarding this.
It was reported previously that the actor’s current lawyer is Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque, who is also the legal counsel of GMA independent contractors Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz.
“So no need for us na maglabas pa ng official statement,” Tracey said. She also clarified that Ken asked permission from the Kapuso management regarding his vacation abroad.
The handler stressed that Ken did not just leave the country without prior notice. “Nagpaalam si Ken. June pa lang, sumulat siya at nagpaalam na magbabakasyon. Alam namin na aalis siya. So hindi totoong basta na lang siya nawala,” Tracey explained, adding that they have a copy of Ken Chan’s letter to GMA.
