Sources close to Ken Chan spoke about the complaint filed against him
Kapuso actor Ken Chan reportedly hired this lawyer amid the estafa complaint filed against by his business investors.
Ken became the alleged subject of a blind item about an actor who “tinakasan ang kaso” and went abroad. Eventually, talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz shared that people who filed complaints against Ken “confirmed” the issue.
One of the complainants even shared a copy of the warrant of arrest with the actor’s name, including the names of other incorporators. Amid this issue and the accusation against him, Ken broke his social media hiatus and shared good vibe posts.
However, the actor did not speak about the complaint filed against him. In a more recent vlog that Ogie Diaz shared, a source shared that Ken Chan is trying to sell some of his properties.
In a recent article in PEP, it was said that Ken already hired a lawyer to represent him. Reportedly it was Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque who is also the legal counsel of GMA independent contractors Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz for the case filed by Kapuso actor Sandro Muhlach.
It was said that initially, a different lawyer was handling Ken’s case but when it was already in court, he decided to change his lawyer. However, when Atty. Garduque was asked about this, she did not reply.
Reportedly, the lawyer filed a petition for review to the Department of Justice (DOJ) to reverse the resolution released by the Office of the City Prosecutor (OCP) of Quezon City. If the DOJ will favor the petition,
If the petition is granted, it could mean that the case filed against him will be withdrawn. As of this writing, there is no confirmation yet regarding the complaint filed against Ken.
Meanwhile, people close to Ken Chan debunked the accusation that he left the country to evade arrest. They said that it just so happened that the vacation of the actor abroad with his family was scheduled at the same time when the case was filed against him.
