Ferdie PH Forecasted To Exit PAR Tomorrow Early Morning

Here’s the latest about Ferdie PH.

Based on the September 13, 2024, 11 PM bulletin from PAGASA, Tropical Storm Ferdie PH is forecasted to exit PAR tomorrow morning.

Tropical Storm Bebinca has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility and was given the local name Ferdie. This is according to the data from Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

It entered at 6 PM on September 13 and was given the domestic name of Tropical Storm Ferdie.

Based on the bulletin from PAGASA posted at 11 PM on September 13, heavy rainfall is on outlook due to the Southwest Monsoon enhanced by Ferdie. Apart from the heavy rainfall, people are also to experience severe wind.

The enhanced Southwest Monsoon will be bringing strong to gale-force gusts on these areas:

  • Batangas, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, and Davao Region until evening of September 14.
  • Batangas, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Caraga Region, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, and Davao Region from evening of September 14 to evening of September 15.
  • MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Davao Region from the evening of September 15 to the evening of September 16.

Based on their 24-hour sea forecast, moderate to rough seas will experienced over these areas:

  • 1.5 to 3.5 m: The seaboards of Palawan, the western seaboard of Western Visayas, the western seaboard of Negros Island Region, the southern seaboard of Negros Island Region, the southern seaboard of Central Visayas, the southern seaboard of Eastern Visayas, the seaboard of Caraga Region, the seaboard of Northern Mindanao, the northern and western seaboards of Zamboanga Peninsula, and the eastern seaboard of Davao Region.
  • 1.0 to 3.0 m: The eastern seaboard of Eastern Visayas
  • 1.0 to 2.5 m: The northern seaboard of Ilocos Region, the northern seaboard of Cagayan Valley, the southern seaboard of Quezon, the seaboards of Bicol Region, and the remaining seaboards of MIMAROPA, Visayas, Davao Region, and Zamboanga Peninsula.

Up to 2 meters is expected on the remaining seaboards of the Philippines.

As per the bulletin, Ferdie is expected to exit PAR on Friday, September 14, early morning.

The tropical storm was located at 1,285 km East Northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon (24.8 °N, 133.6 °E) moving Northwestward at 35 km/h. Its maximum sustained winds is 85 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 105 km/h.

As of the latest, no tropical cyclone wind signal has been declared.
