DILG Speaks on Pastor Apollo Quiboloy Reward Money for Arrest
PASTOR APOLLO QUIBOLOY – The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) leaves it up to the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the givers of the bounty on what to do with the multi-million Peso reward.
After more than two (2) weeks of intensified search operations by the authorities at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ compound, Apollo Quiboloy has surrendered to the PNP. He is facing several charges not only in the Philippines but as well as the United States.
The Philippine National Police did intensified search operations inside the KOJC compound. The operations included drilling as the authorities believed that the Pastor may be hiding in a bunker.
The intensified operations came after months of negative presence on the search for Pastor Apollo Quiboloy. Previously, the DILG has announced a P10 million reward money for the information that could lead to the arrest of the Pastor.
The camp of Pastor Quiboloy previously said that he has a condition with President Bongbong Marcos for his surrender. However, the Palace did not give in to the request of the KOJC Leader.
Prior to the arrest of Quiboloy, Vice President Sara Duterte and Attorney Israelito Torreon expressed their belief that the Pastor is no longer inside the KOJC compound. According to the Vice President, there was enough time that the Pastor could have left.
The Pastor is close to the Duterte family most especially to their patriarch. Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte even filed a case against the DILG and some PNP high officials over the operations at the KOJC compound.
Following the arrest of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, there’s a huge question on who will get the multi-million pesos reward money previously announced by the interior department. DILG Secretary previously said that the reward money was set “by friends”.
Based on a report on GMA News, DILG Sec. Benhur Abalos expressed that he is leaving it up to the PNP and to those who offered the reward money on what to do with the multi-million peso reward.
The mugshots of Pastor Quiboloy were posted but it earned reactions as they were blurred. Also, the KOJC Leader was presented to the media but he was fully-covered.
