House Physician Excuses Cassandra Li Ong due to “Unstable” Condition
Cassandra Li Ong was excused from the hearing of the House of Representatives due to low blood pressure and she was later on brought to the hospital.
Prior to the arrest of Alice Guo in Indonesia, another individual facing accusations of alleged involvement in the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming operations in Porac, Pampanga was detained by the Indonesian authorities and sent back to the Philippines.
The Indonesian authorities detained Cassandra Li Ong, the alleged representative of the controversial illegal POGO hub in Porac, and Shiela Guo, the supposed sister of former Mayor Alice Guo. However, in a Senate hearing, Shiela Guo admitted that she and Alice are not sisters.
Cassandra Ong claimed that Wesley Guo, the brother of Alice, is her boyfriend. She was sent to the House of Representatives. According to Cassandra, she only knows Alice because of her boyfriend and they are not friends of business partners.
Cassandra denied the accusations of involvement in the illegal POGO operations. According to her, she is tied with a company that rented the building, the Whirlwind Corp., the alleged firm that leased the building to the illegal POGO Lucky South 99.
Recently, the House of Representatives held a hearing on the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming operations in the country. However, based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Cassandra Li Ong was excused from the investigation due to her low blood pressure.
The recommendation to excuse Ong from the hearing came after she felt dizzy and her blood pressure dropped to 80/40 during the inquiry. Based on the report, House Physician Dr. Jose Luis Bautista said that Ong’s condition is “unstable”. He stressed that it cannot be separated from her blood sugar level.
“To put it in a nutshell, Ms. Cassandra Li Ong is quite unstable as of this moment. Definitely, as I saw earlier, her blood pressure was very low, unreadable na,” Dr. Bautista said.
The House Physician also recommended bringing Ong to the hospital for medical tests. Based on the report, this morning, the blood pressure of Ong is “only 70/40. According to the doctor, they are still unsure if has something to do with heart failure.
The lawmakers agreed with the recommendation of Dr. Jose Luis Bautista to bring Cassandra Li Ong to the hospital for medical tests.
