WALANG PASOK – Class suspensions for Wednesday, September 4, 2024, has been declared in these areas.

Tropical cyclone Enteng (international name: Yagi) has left devastating aftermath in several parts of the country. Due to this, several local governments has declared class suspension to deal with the effects it left along with the enhanced southwest monsoon.

    • San Pedro (face-to-face classes; public and private)
  • La Union
    • Luna (private and public)
  • Nueva Ecija
    • Licab (public and private)
  • Occidental Mindoro
    • Lubang (public and private)
  • Pangasinan (public and private)
  • Rizal
    • Antipolo (face-to-face classes; public and private)
    • Baras (face-to-face classes; public and private)
    • Pillila (public and private)
    • Rodriguez (face-to-face classes; public and private)
    • Tanay (public and private)
  • Tarlac

Classes from elementary to high school, meanwhile, are suspended in these areas:

Based on a previous article, Tropical Storm Enteng is expected to intensify once it crosses the West Philippine Sea and will reach Hainan, China on Saturday, September 7. In PAGASA’s 5 p.m. advisory on September 3, Enteng was spotted 165 kilometers west-northwest of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, with maximum sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour (kph) and gusts of up to 115 kph as it moves west-northwestward at 10 kph.

Tropical cyclone wind signal (TCWS) No. 1 was raised over the areas of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, the northern portion of La Union (Luna, Santol, San Juan, Bagulin, Bangar, San Gabriel, Bacnotan, Sudipen, Balaoan, City of San Fernando), and Abra.

It is expected to make landfall in southern mainland China over the weekend.
