Angel Locsin has given Joaquin Arce invaluable support while he was inside the PBB house, and this is what the latter expressed.
Many times, Angel Locsin showed her support for her stepson, Joaquin Arce, and defended him from critics. To prove her entire support for the rising star, she even broke her social media hiatus to express how much she supports her son pursuing a career in the industry where she is most loved.
After his PBB stint, Joaquin emerged as the 3rd big placer of the program. With the kind of love he received from his stepmother, he expressed that the actress is not only a parent figure but also a mentor to him.
The young artist said the actress played a significant role in encouraging and guiding him as he navigates the entertainment industry.
Angel defended him from the “nepo baby” label, and he was deeply touched by the gesture. He expressed how meaningful it was that the actress stepped in to support him publicly.
“Pinagtanggol ako ni Darna,” Arce said, referring to Locsin’s iconic portrayal of the superhero Darna earlier in her career. This remark just showed his admiration for the actress and the pride in having someone like her stand by him during difficult moments.
“She went out of her hiatus just to support me. Talagang nagpapasalamat ako sa kanya… She is one of the first people I met after coming out. Mom ko, dad ko, and tita Angel. Also my lola,” he added,
Meanwhile, regarding his PBB journey, he is more than happy with the results after witnessing the organic support from his fans. He felt the love and support from everybody, and for him, this is the real prize he got because they did not spend a single peso for the big night. It was all organic.
