“Maybe This Time” dance challenge is the trend today, specifically the cover of Sarah Geronimo and here’s her message to Ral.
Why is Sarah Geronimo’s version of ‘Maybe This Time’ trending online? This is because of Ralp Xyrel Villaruz, a student. His video of him dancing to the song with unique steps went viral online and spread widely that even several celebrities and famous personalities did it.
Andrea Brillantes, Stell Ajero of SB19, Cong TV and Viy Cortez of Team Payaman, and Sheena Catacutan of BINI are some of those who did this challenge already. Over the weekend, Ralp Xyrel was invited to It’s Showtime and danced to the challenge with the program’s hosts, guests, and madlang people.
Vice Ganda, Jhong Hilario, Vhong Navarro, and others danced with him, and just recently, the singer herself has joined the trend. Sarah did the “Maybe This Time” challenge and it immediately went viral.
In a clip, she was seen greeting the student who made her song sensational again and expressed a message for him. She thanked him because 10 years after, her song became viral again and it was because of his dance video.
“Salamat kay Ralp dahil muling nakilala ang awitin nating ‘Maybe This Time’. See you soon, Ralp!” said the Popstar Royalty.

Ralp’s twists and turns made the song viral and had celebrities doing the trend. According to Ralp, he made the video out of boredom and the steps were something made out what he felt and some inspired from what he saw online.
Originally, this song was performed by Michael Martin Murphey and Geronimo recorded her own version of “Maybe This Time” for her 2014 film of the same title with Coco Martin.
