Sandro Muhlach continues to fight for himself
Kapuso actor Sandro Muhlach filed cyber libel complaint against three netizens who shared defamatory post about him on X, formerly Twitter.
Sandro chose to fight for himself after what happened he experienced. Unlike other showbiz personalities, the 23-year-old actor immediately filed a case against his alleged abuser GMA independent contractors Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz. This encouraged singer-actor Gerald Santos to also speak about the alleged harassment he experienced 19 years ago.
Sandro narrated that he was abused after the GMA Gala inside Nones and Cruz’s hotel room. The son of seasoned actor Nino Muhlach received support from the fans and the online community after his revelations.
However, not all comments online were showing support for him because some were defamatory and once again, Sandro did not let this pass.
Based on the article in Bandera, the Kapuso actor filed cyber libel complaints against three netizens. These individuals hiding behind their online identity, allegedly shared posts defaming Sandro amid his fight against his abusers.
Sandro prepared a copy of over 100 posts of these netizens as evidence of the cyber bullying he received. The cybercrime division of the National Bureau of Investigation will use this to identify the netizens and to locate their whereabouts.
Meanwhile, Alex Muhlach, Sandro’s grandfather said that the young actor is still going through depression after what happened. Alex said that the incident has taken a toll on Sandro’s physical and mental well-being.
He also appealed to the public to let Sandro has his privacy while dealing with this difficult chapter in his life and that online bullying has worsen his condition.
“Sandro needs our compassion and support as he works towards recovery. We appreciate your understanding and respect for his journey towards healing,” the actor’s grandfather said.
Previously, Sandro Muhlach’s cousin Alyssa Muhlach shared in an interview that in their family, they are doing their best to show support for him.
