The southwest monsoon will bring occasional rains over Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, and Antique.

La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Bicol region, Central Luzon, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan)  and the rest of the Visayas will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.

As the southwest monsoon weakens, a huge part of the country will experience generally fair weather conditions with chances of rain during the weekend.

“Towards the weekend ine-expect naman natin itong mga pag-ulan dulot ng habagat ay mababawasan. Pagdating ng weekend malaking bahagi ng ating bansa ay makararanas ng generally fair weather,” he said.

Flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the remaining parts of the country.

Possible flash floods or landslides are expected during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA. No gale warning was raised over any of the country’s seaboards.
