Immigration Bureau Speaks on Alice Guo’s Reported Departure from PH
IMMIGRATION BUREAU – The government entity revealed that the intelligence information said that Alice Guo left the Philippines without passing the immigration.
The issues surrounding dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo has piled up but the authorities were not able to locate the dismissed Mayor. An arrest order was released against her by the Senate after she was cited for contempt.
The Senate cited Guo for contempt after ditching two (2) hearings set by the upper chamber. She is faced with accusations of her alleged involvement in the Philippine Offshore Gaming operations in her town as well as questions about her identity.
The fingerprints of Guo were found to match the fingerprints of Chinese national Guo Hua Ping according to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). In the pursuit of serving the arrest order, the authorities visited all her registered addresses but found negative presence.
Recently, the Ombudsman released its ruling ordering the dismissal of Alice Guo as mayor of Bamban, Tarlac. The Ombudsman also ordered the forfeiture of all her retirement benefits.
However, amid all these, Guo was not located and the authorities have yet to make him her face the accusations against her. Recently, Senator Risa Hontiveros expressed getting an information that dismissed Mayor Alice Guo has left the Philippines.
The Senator raised a question on who has helped Guo leave the country amid the issues against her. The document showed that she left the country last July 17 and arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia the following day.
According to Hontiveros, dismissed Mayor Alice Guo also moved to Singapore to meet her family including her brother, Wesley Guo. Recently, the immigration bureau spoke on the reported departure of the dismissed Mayor.
Based on a report on GMA News, the immigration bureau revealed that the intelligence information from BI’s counterparts abroad said that Guo illegally left for Malaysia and flew to Singapore.
According to Bureau of Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco, Guo’s name was listed on the immigration lookout bulletin but there are no records of her departure from the Philippines. There are also no records on the centralized database of the bureau.
The BI is present in all regular international ports of entry including airports and seaports. With regards to the informal exit points in the country, they are often managed by maritime and aviation agencies.
